Medha is built for preschools and centres today, and much of it, like fees, the cab, notices, the register and ID cards, already works for any school. If you run a primary or higher school, tell us what you need, and we will shape Medha for your school.
The everyday problems, solved.
The moment it happens, on the phone.
Alerts pop up on the phone like any app’s, without an app store. They also come on WhatsApp when the school switches that on, and always wait in the app’s bell.
For families
- Reached school, or marked absent
- Collected, and by whom
- Unwell at school
- The cab: boarded, nearly here, at the gate
- Taught today, and homework
- Fees due, reminders and receipts
- Notices, holidays, Star of the month, leave
For teachers and the office
- A family waiting to be approved
- Someone at the gate to collect a child
- Leave applied or withdrawn
- A fee payment to confirm
Calm by default
- Quiet hours, 9 pm to 7 am, for everything that isn’t urgent
- Urgent ones always come: collected, unwell, the cab, someone waiting at the gate
- Each person chooses which alerts they get
- Sent only to that person’s own phones
A chat helper for the office, teachers and families.
Ask in plain words and get a warm, practical answer in seconds: a circle-time idea, a way to help at home, or a question about how the school is doing. Children’s names are hidden before anything reaches the AI, and each person has a few questions a day.
A teacher: “Give me a 10-minute circle-time activity for the sound of F.”
A parent: “How can I help my child practise counting at home?”
The office: “Which families have not signed in this week?”
A therapist: “Ideas for a calm group session with picture cards.”
- 1 min — say “Ffffff” together, lips stretched.
- 4 min — hold up each thing: “This is a fan. Ffff-an.”
- 3 min — act it out: wave like a fan, grow like a flower.
- 2 min — round the circle, each child says one F word.
Short, purposeful play — never mindless watching.
Each child has their own daily screen time, set by their parent and following the government’s PRAGYATA guidelines for young children. When the time is up, play stops — on the phone and on the TV.
A daily limit for each child
30 minutes a day by default for preschool children, as PRAGYATA advises. A parent can set a shorter time for their own child, or choose a 10, 20 or 30-minute sitting.
The parent’s PIN
A parent can set a 4-digit PIN. Without it, a child cannot start a new sitting, add more time or leave Kid Lock. Kid Lock keeps the child inside Medha, away from the rest of the phone.
TV play counts too
Playing on the TV uses the same daily time. When it is up, the TV says good night and stops, so the TV does not keep running for hours. The child taps and answers; nothing plays on its own.
Kept by the server
The limit is checked by Medha’s server, not just the screen. Reloading, switching phones or moving to the TV does not reset it. Play led by the teacher in class does not use the child’s home time.
Reports built from what the child really does.
No tests and no exam days. Every game a child plays quietly shows what they can do, and Medha turns that into reports teachers, therapists and families can trust.
Every game counts
Each answer in a game is evidence for a skill: sounds, letters, counting, colours, matching, feelings and more. It is kept only after the parent agrees.
Over days, not one try
A skill moves Seed → Sprout → Bud → Bloom only when the child shows it again on different days, so one tired or lucky day changes nothing.
Reports in plain words
The Holistic Progress Card (following NCF-FS), each day’s games for families and PTA notes, all filled from play. The teacher adds what they see in class. No marks, no percentages.
For the teacher and the family
The teacher sees each child’s skills and one thing to try next; PTA notes come ready. Families see what their child played each day and how they are growing, in plain words.
Short films for parents, teachers and the school.
Two to three minutes each. Every child in them is invented.
Safe for children, honest with families.
Consent first
Nothing about a child’s learning is kept until the parent agrees. A family can see, download or erase their child’s data.
Encouraging only
No scores, no ranks, no comparing children. Progress is told in words: Seed, Sprout, Bud, Bloom.
Spoken to the child
Medha speaks every instruction in a warm voice; children answer by tapping. It never listens to them.
Any phone, any TV
Runs in the browser — add it to the home screen. Play on the TV with the phone as the remote.
Try it free for two months.
During the pilot you work directly with Medha’s founder: we set up your school with you, help your staff and families join, answer on WhatsApp and check in every two weeks. If it doesn’t help, you leave with a full copy of your data.
